新闻公告 News - 9月安全主题日 Safety Day Activities
On September 17th, we held the first Safety Day at the Multi-Function room. The theme of the day for PreK and K1 is ‘Fire Safety’. Words such as alarm bell, fire extinguisher and fireman are unfamiliar to our PreK students, but during the activity they listened and looked very carefully to find out everything about fire safety. K1 students were very active by raising their hands to answer teachers questions. At the end of the activity, both PreK and K1 children practiced fire escape. With wet towels covering their noses and mouths, they ‘escaped’ back to the classrooms.
The theme for K2 & K3 is ‘Hidden Safety Dangers. The classroom is where children mainly learn and play. Scissors, pencils, desks and chairs are common objects in the classroom but they could also cause accidents without caution. More attention is needed in the public area such as the library and art room. In the activity, teacher listed hidden dangers in the classroom and discussed with students how to avoid accidents from happening.
