一、招生入园

  • 宝宝多大可以入学?

答:我园常年开设托班、小班、中班、大班4个不同年龄层次的班级。

  • 每年什么时候报名?

答:每年的秋季新生班级通常在春季开始招生,采用集中报名方式。

  • 家长如何报名入园?

答:在线报名,具体请关注当年通告细则。

  • 幼儿园在学期中接受插班生吗?

答:我园在学期中原则上不接受插班生。

  • 如果想要参观幼儿园,如何预约?

答:我园每周会对外开放1~2次家长校园参观日。家长可以通过电子邮件(zhaosheng@victoria.sh.cn)进行预约。

  • 校园参观日和校园体验日有什么区别?

答:校园参观日是每周1~2次,主要参观校园环境,了解学校情况(包括课程设置及招生细则等)。校园体验日是家长和幼儿走进课室和中英文老师一起互动活动,了解课程的组织和开展情况。

二、班级情况&课程

  1. 每个年级会有几种类型班级?班主任如何配置?

答:我们每个年级会分中文班和双语班。双语班采用是中英双班主任制,由一名中文教师以及一名外籍英文教师担任班主任,中文班是两名中文教师担任班主任,各班另配一名生活老师。

  1. 每个班级几名幼儿?

答:  每个班级25名幼儿左右。

  1. 幼儿园课程是什么?特色是什么?

答:  维多利亚浦东园是一所通过IB机构认证的IB World School,实施PYP幼小项目课程;同时2016年也引进了美国加利福尼亚州的“Teachers College Reading and Writing Project (TCRWP) 读写项目计划”。

 

三、 家长配合

  1. 幼儿园有很多活动吗?家长如何配合?

答: 维多利亚是个融合多元文化的大家庭,每年幼儿园会举行各种大型活动,例如亲子运动会;圣诞晚宴;毕业典礼等等。同时各年级会根据PYP课程的开展组织丰富多彩,有意义的校外参观实践活动。本园家长可以通过预约或现场报名的方式参加幼儿园举行的各类活动。

  1. 家长平时如何与幼儿园/班主任沟通?

答:幼儿园会通过电子邮件、微信、家长工作坊等等各种方式和班主任沟通幼儿的成长情况。同时,幼儿园成立家长教师委员会(简称家委会),每个班级都有若干名理事,积极配合幼儿园开展各类活动,给幼儿园教育教学提出宝贵意见或建议,做到家园共育。

 

四、  幼小衔接

  1. 幼儿园毕业生会去哪些类型的小学?

答:维多利亚的毕业生会以沪上知名双语学校和国际学校为主要去向。

  1. 幼儿园如何开展幼小衔接?

答:幼儿园会针对中大班幼儿家长开展“小学经验家长经验分享会”,同时也会邀请部分沪上知名双语学校/国际学校来幼儿园和家长进行咨询交流。

 

五、后勤服务及其它

  1. 幼儿园有校车服务吗?

答:幼儿园没有校车服务。

  1. 幼儿园的餐饮如何?

答:幼儿园自办食堂,提供“一餐两点”,即一顿午餐和两顿点心。所有菜品原料由有资质的大型企业配送,并附检验合格证。幼儿食谱品种搭配多样化,注重米面搭配,粗细搭配,荤素搭配,保证幼儿摄取全面营养,健康成长。

  1. 幼儿园的学费情况

  1. 宝宝在园生病了,幼儿园如何处理?

答:教师将病儿送到保健室,由保健室医生进行诊断,同时立即通知家长,如较严重的症状与家长沟通后及时送入就近医院就医。

  1. Admission
  • What is the youngest age I can apply to Victoria?

A: We accept babies aged 24 months and above. You can help your baby apply for Pre K, K1, K2 and K3 accordingly.

  • When can I apply to the school?

A:The open application for admission to PK & K1 in fall is in spring each year.

  • How can I apply to Victoria?

A:Online registration.

  • Do you accept new students in the middle of a term?

A:Yes. You can send the application to us by email at any time to join  the waiting list.

  • How do I make an appointment to visit your school?

A:We provide school tours 1-2 times per week. You can make an appointment by sending us an email(zhaosheng@victoria.sh.cn).

 

  1. Class & Curriculum
  • What kind of classes are there in each grade level? How many teachers in each class?

A:We have a Chinese class and bilingual classes in each grade level. A Chinese class has two Chinese teachers and a life teacher; bilingual classes have a Chinese teacher, foreign teacher and a life teacher.

  • What are the responsibilities of the Chinese and the foreign teachers?

A:Both the Chinese and the foreign teachers are the classroom teachers,They are responsible for the class affairs and the curriculum.

  • How many children are in each class?

A:We have about 25 students in each class.

  • What is the schedule of a school day?

  • What curriculum does your school offer?

A:Shanghai Victoria Pudong campus is an IB World School. We implement the IB Primary Years Program (PYP). In 2016 we also introduced “Teachers College Reading and Writing Project (TCRWP)” from California.

 

  1. Parent Involvements
  • Are there many events and activities?

A: Victoria is a multicultural school. There are many school events such as Parent-Child Sports Day, Christmas Dinner, and Graduation Ceremony, etc. Each grade also has unit activities such as field trips. You are invited to participate in school events through registration.

  • How do I contact the school or my classroom teachers?

A:You can talk to the school or your teachers through email, we-chat, and parent workshops etc. We also have the PTA to work with us for all school activities.

 

  1. Primary School Transition
  • What are the primary schools do your students go to?

A:Mainly bilingual schools and international schools.

  • What do you do for the primary school transition?

A:We will organize workshops for you at which parents of our former graduates will share their experiences,We also provide the opportunity for parents to have face-to-face communication with teachers or admission officers from bilingual and international schools .

 

  1. Logistics & Others
  • Do you have school buses?

A:We do not provide school bus services.

  • What does my baby eat at the school?

A:Balanced healthy lunches, snacks for morning and afternoon are provided for all students.

  • How much is the school fee?

A:Please see the information under “Recruitment” on our website.

  • How do you handle a sick case?

A:Teachers will take the sick student to the nurse room for diagnosis. Meanwhile contact the child’s parents. If it’s a serious case, the sick student will be sent to the hospital after communication with their parents.
